Love and Laughter

"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?  Or am I trying to please people?  If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1:10 

We do this for God and His Kingdom. We aren't in it for human approval or high ratings from people; we are in it to change peoples lives, the way God wants and intended life. We cook, we love, we laugh, and we shine in this dark world. We encourage people, as broken sinners, to join us at our table to experience God's Love through our cooking, laughter, and community.  

We are all God's children trudging through life here on earth, making mistakes, falling, sinning. Our goal is not monetary, we don't want to get rich with goods, but our goal is to enrich lives with God's love, to give broken sinners a chance to slow down and be present, and to see with God's eyes, to hear with God's ears, and to feel with God's heart. We all have stories and baggage, because we are human. 

Let's win the approval of God, not humans - and at that spot love wins over the dark; we let our guard down, we laugh, we share, and we let our light shine.

Enjoy a Recipe From This Meal

Sobremesa Farm Kitchen Blue Cheese Dressing: 

• 1 Cup mayo 

• 1 Cup sour cream

• 3/4 Cup buttermilk

• 1 tsp. white vinegar

• 2 TBSP worchestershire sauce

• 1.5 tsp minced garlic

• 1/2 tsp lemon juice

• salt and pepper to taste

• 1/2 cup good blue cheese crumbles

Combine everything but the blue cheese crumbles in a blender, blend till smooth.  Pour into a container and add crumbles; gently stirring them in.  Refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight before serving.
